The programme is not released until nearer the time but highlights in 2004 included: music from Caetano Veloso, Tom Zé and Angel Parra; theatrical performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company (The Dog in the Manger, House of Desires, Tamar's Revenge and Pedro, the Great Pretender), Comédie Française (Le Malade Imaginaire), Volksbühne Am Rosa (Die Zehn Gabot), Teatre Romea de Barcelona (El Rey Lear) and Teatre Lliure (Sta Juana de Mataderos); musical theatre from Companyia Carlos Santos with El Compositor, la cantant, el cuiner i la pecadora.

There are also dance performances from the Nederlands Dans Theater (Wings of Wax, Cullberg Ballet (Home and Home/Fluke), Centre Choreographique National D'Oleans (Comedia Tempio), Teresa Nieto en Compañí (Consuelo), Jan Fabre/Troubleyn (Quando l'uomo principale e una donna) and Los Cuatro Elementos flamenco performance by Carmen Corté, Gernardo Nuñez, Alejandro Granados, Carlos Rodríguez, Rocio Molina and Dani Dona.
