Cibeles Square -Apart from being in the centre of some of the main streets of Madrid, it has some interesting buildings, like the Communications Palace.
One of the most famous places of Madrid, in part because of the beauty of the fountain that decorates the square and in part because of the parties held here each time Real Madrid celebrates another of its football victories. The fountain, built in 1782, with three watertanks on successive levels, is crowned by a sculpture representing the goddess Cibeles (Ceres), mother of life and fertility, in her charriot pulled by two lions.
