- Following the release of their third album, X & Y, in June, and back live after a two-year break, the lads from Coldplay return to Europe to continue their Twisted Logic for three dates in Spain, here arriving at Madrid's Palacio de Deportes.
- Every year the Comunidad de Madrid hosts its Festival de Otoño (Autumn Festival) with music, theatre, musicals and dance events throughout the autonomous region and the Spanish capital itself.
- This year Festimad moves to a bigger venue, Parque La Cantuena in Fuenlabrada (18km outside Madrid), and promises top entertainment over two days from well-known and up-and-coming rock bands.
- Madrid's Plaza de Toros de las Ventas hosts MTV Day with bands performing live at the venue and also transmitted on MTV España. The event brings together the best in current Spanish rock and pop music and also promises a performance by a top international band.
- Metrorock Festival comes to Madrid's Juan Carlos I Park with a line-up of national and international bands playing at the two-day event.
